Welcome

This library guide is organized based on the types of business questions I am most frequently asked. Browse through the tabs above and find print and electronic sources and database recommendations by topic. Or click to browse a list of databases by name or subject.

SU Subject Librarians

I'm not the only librarian in town. The are other librarians at SU, called Subject Specialists, who have expertise in specific topics of research and who are available during office hours, via email and by appointment.

Quicklinks to Library Databases for Business

We subscribe to over 40 databases with business information. To help you get started, here are quick links to frequently recommended resources.

Business@Bird

Business@Bird

I write a blog so I can have a way to share useful bits of information I find through reading business, trade and library publications. I also include announcements about events, tips for doing better research and finding new sources, notify readers about changes to databases we subscribe to, and alert you to notable acquisitions. Bookmark or RSS Business@Bird to keep up with me. I don't post every day, so it won't flood your inbox.

What is RSS?

RSS is a great way to "subscribe" to your favorite online content. While it's most frequently used as a way to keep up on blog reading, more and more websites are featuring RSS capabilities on their sites as a way to feature new content. Some databases also allow you to RSS a specific set of search terms, so if you're doing research over a period of time, you can be "alerted" to new articles that fit your criteria.
