Welcome! My name is Patty and I am a reference and instruction librarian in the Department of Learning and Academic Engagement. I am the liaison to the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs (OVMA) and the Renée Crown University Honors Program. I also provide general reference services and instruction sessions about the Libraries and information literacy, and I conduct outreach activities on behalf of the Libraries.
I was born and raised in the great state of Maine. My academic and professional background includes the fine arts and media, especially painting and documentary film production, religious and philosophical studies, universal instructional design, and information literacy. In addition to the work I've done at the SU Libraries, I have been an instructor for many undergraduate courses at SU and for the First Year Seminar. Prior to SU, I worked at several other institutions of Higher Education and for many years on documentary films for public television.
