How to Use Lens Profiles

Lens Profiles, also known as ORCiD Plus Profiles, are freely available author/inventor profile pages discoverable through the Lens platform. Here is an example profile (for the Lens Executive Director).

Lens Profiles Features

  • Your Lens profile will auto-populate with potential author/document matches based on Lens data.
  • Linking your Lens profile to your ORCiD account will auto-populate your Lens profile with data from ORCiD. Lens data can in turn be pushed to ORCiD to update your ORCiD profile.
  • You can add CV related info like employment history to your Lens profile.
  • Your Lens profile will be publicly visible and searchable.
  • Follow other authors/inventors with your Lens profile account to be automatically notified when they publish new works

The Lens Profiles Support Page has Information and tutorials on Lens Profiles setup, including how to add records to your profile and how to link to ORCiD and ImpactStory.
