Lens.org is a freely available database, that includes several different tools, including a searchable database of scholarly literature called Scholarly Works and several patent tools including Patents, PatCite, and PatSeq. Syracuse University Libraries has a limited subscription to the Lens Institutional Toolkit (ITK), which includes access to APIs, a reporting tool, and an institutional dashboard for tracking and analyzing publications and inventions. The Lens relies on openly available data to create their unique set of tools. They receive funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Alfred P.
