Impostor Syndrome

Impostor syndrome, also sometimes known as impostorism, is a tendency to doubt your skills and capabilities, often associated with the idea that your success is unearned, or that you don't deserve to be where you are. Many students experience impostor syndrome upon starting university for the first time, and it can have a big impact on your confidence and ability to thrive. The resources in this column discuss how impostor syndrome works and how to challenge it, so you can start your classes in the fall with the assurance that you are capable and ready to tackle whatever life throws at you.
