Be sure to start from any SU Libraries website link, including this guide, to authenticate with your NetID to access content and to avoid encountering paywalls that often occur when visiting a publisher website directly.
SU Libraries' new Libraries Search Platform was launched on June 26 and replaces the Classic Catalog and Summon. Visit this page for detailed instructions and videos on the use of Libraries Search. Electronic resources will be activated in Libraries Search on an ongoing basis. For assistance in finding electronic resources, please contact the Libraries via the Get Help page, libref@syr.edu, or Brenna at bhelmstu@syr.edu.
Additional specialized resources in many subject areas are available on the SU Libraries' databases page. Resources are also listed on subject guides.
For print books or journal articles not included in Syracuse University Libraries' collection, you may request the item via Interlibrary Loan (ILL) at no cost. As distance learning students, you can request print books to be shipped to you at no cost if you live 30 miles or more from campus, also through Interlibrary Loan. In the Notes field of your request, indicate that you are a distance learning student. Return shipping is also at no cost.
If the journal you are seeking is not included in either of these databases, you could also check the journal or publisher website.
