SURFACE is Syracuse University’s institutional repository, which is managed by the Libraries. Institutional repositories make the scholarly output of an institution openly accessible in digital form. This open form of publication increases visibility of an author's or institution's research output, thereby fostering the free exchange of ideas, interdisciplinary collaboration, and digitally preserving scholarly content.
SURFACE includes thousands of items ranging from scholarly articles, books, journals, dissertations and theses, conference proceedings, videos, and more. It serves to represent the strength and diversity of work being done by members of the Syracuse University community and to share that work with communities all over the world.
