Resources for New Faculty

Faculty and adjunct faculty currently affiliated with Syracuse University are provided full access to Syracuse University Libraries, including the following services and benefits:

• Borrow books and other materials
• Have library items delivered to your office via Library To Go
• Use Interlibrary Loan to request items from other libraries
• Use Articles to Go for electronic delivery of articles or book chapters from the Libraries' print collections
• Place materials on Course Reserves
• Request items in library catalog to be held for pick up at library service desks or Pickup Lockers
• Request e-resources to place in Blackboard for Course Reserves
• Access or reserve physical videos or multimedia materials
• Access electronic library materials from off-campus
• Designate your teaching assistant as a Proxy Borrower
• Use Library Computers
• Get help with Printing, Copying, and Technology
• Borrow technology items and tools
• Reserve rooms in the Libraries
• Visit and access materials at other libraries

Visiting Researchers from other educational institutions who are formally associated with an SU academic department should work with their sponsoring department to gain privileges.

Visiting Researchers who are not affiliated with SU may apply for access to the Libraries' computers for a specific research project for up to two weeks. To apply for this access, complete and submit a Visiting Researcher Computer Access form.
