Transformative Agreements and APC Coverage: Royal Society of Chemistry

Opportunities for Open Access Publishing without Author Fees

Author Instructions

Corresponding Syracuse University authors are able to make their articles published in all Royal Society of Chemistry journals open access.

How does it work?

  • List yourself as the corresponding author to take advantage of this agreement
  • Upon acceptance, use your syr.edu email address and select Syracuse University as your institutional affiliation
  • Select the "Gold Open Access Publication" route (you may also retain the option to publish your work behind a paywall for some RSC journals)
  • Authors may choose to license their work under one of two Creative Commons Licenses:

For a step-by-step walkthrough of the procedure, please see: https://www.rsc.org/globalassets/05-journals-books-databases/librarians-information/promotional/read-and-publish-toolkit/rp-workflow-flyer-210x297mm.pdf
