Welcome to Syracuse University, and to First Year Seminar (FYS 101)!

The FYS 101 Leadership Team has collaborated with SU Libraries to create this FYS 101 Library Research Guide, with resources curated to support you throughout the course, and throughout your time at Syracuse University.

This guide covers weekly curriculum-specific resources for the course, along with additional resources from SU Libraries and the broader Syracuse University campus.

Students will have access to this research guide throughout the semester via their FYS 101 course in Blackboard Ultra, by selecting “FYS 101 Library Research Guide” under the Important Resources folder.

There are a range of different options available, all designed to give you the opportunity to connect with a campus or community resource. Space for each event is limited, so it is important to register ahead of time to reserve your spot.
