ArcGIS Pro software is installed on the public lab computers across campus. For SUNY-ESF, please check with your computer IT departments.
Check with your Department's IT staff to see if ArcGIS is already installed in a computer lab in your College, School or Department.
PLEASE NOTE! Access to ArcGIS software, SU's ArcGIS Online account and access to the Esri Academy E-Training site is ONLY available to current students, faculty, staff and registered affiliates of Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF! All others NOT affiliated with SU or SUNY-ESF are not eligible.
* The current version of ArcGIS installed on University computers and on faculty/staff computers, as of August 1st 2024 is:
ArcGIS Pro 3.3.1
* Starting in the Fall 2024 semester SU's access to all ArcGIS software, online resources and the Esri Academy will be switching from a Named User license to Single-sign-on (SSO). See the "Logging in to SU's ArcGIS Account" tab on the left for more information.
* ArcGIS Desktop 10.8 (ArcMAP), has been discontinued. If you are using ArcGIS Desktop you will need migrate to ArcGIS Pro.
Use of SU's Esri Educational Site License.
We encourage and support members of the Syracuse University community to use the various software and system that are part of the Esri Educational Site License. Also, all SU-affiliated persons are eligible to use products that are part of our Esri license, and we configured our account so that users have, as a default, as many of the software, web applications, and extensions as possible.
We ask that you use these tools, software, and data responsibly. Please note the following requirements for using an Esri ArcGIS Online account:
It is the responsibility of the user to make sure that your use of any product provided through SU's Esri education site license complies with the above restrictions.
