Economic Briefing Room RSS
The United States Census Bureau, sometimes in collaboration with other agencies, collects and disseminates a wide variety of data and statistics relating to business and industry in the United States. The Bureau conducts many surveys and censuses at different times to accomplish this.
Within this section of this guide you will find links to and explanations of several of the more popular programs conducted by the Census Bureau. This section is not meant to be exhaustive, rather to point out the more commonly used areas of the Census Bureau's economic programs. As, always, if you cannot find what you need, please contact the Data Librarian for help.
The main pages are:
- Business and Industry - The Census Bureau's main economic page
- Economy Overview - Links to major data collections, business list and research data operations, including some funded by other agencies or sponsors. All active programs are included along with discontinued programs of continuing interest. Some people may find this page easier to use than the main page above.
- Economic Indicators - Links to various common economic indicators such as Monthly Wholesale Trade and New Home Sales.
- Historical Time Series - Economic data going back as far as 1958.
