The People’s Place Café, located on the lower level of Hendricks Chapel, is a student-run, nonprofit coffee shop offering great food, great prices, and a cool atmosphere.
The Syracuse University Art Museum has wonderful exhibitions and programming throughout the year. It's free to enter and you can just wander around and check out the art at your leisure. If you'd like, please see their events calendar.
Another great location for those in need of some art is Light Work, a non-profit organization in Watson Hall that provides support to artists working in photography and related media, through residencies, publications, and a community-access lab facility. They have a gallery with regular exhibits that you are welcome to visit.
There is a MakerSpace on campus that is available to everyone! Highly recommend arranging for a tour. There are people there to show you how to use the equipment properly and consult on projects.
We have an observatory! The Holden Observatory has been around since 1887 and you can arrange for a tour for yourself and/or a group.
Check out the Esports Centers in Schine and the Barnes Center. Even if you've never played before! They have orientations to their facilities and games for all experience levels and interests.
