Philanthropy News Digest is a news service from Foundation Directory. "The RFP (Request for Proposals) Bulletin is published every Friday afternoon. Each RFP listing provides a brief overview of a current funding opportunity offered by a foundation or other grantmaking organization. Interested applicants should read the full RFP at the grantmaker's Web site or contact the grantmaker directly for complete program guidelines and eligibility requirements before submitting a proposal to that grantmaker."

Funders for LGBTQ Issues works to increase the scale and impact of philanthropic resources aimed at enhancing the well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities, promoting equity, and advancing racial, economic and gender justice. Funders for LGBTQ Issues is a network of more than 75 foundations, corporations, and funding institutions that collectively award more than $1 billion annually, including approximately $100 million specifically devoted to LGBTQ issues.

Replaces IRIS from University of Illinois. Also searches some grants on the open web. Mostly focused on more academic funding.
Search for copies of an organization's 990-PF here. Free registration is required. "The IRS requires that every private foundation file a 990-PF each year. IRS returns provide basic financial data, a complete grants list, the names of the foundation's trustees and officers, and other information on the foundation."
