Why is Open Access Important?

The Syracuse University Libraries seeks to support Open Access by assisting faculty, students and staff understand the processes and benefits of how their scholarly work can be published and made freely available to all those who need them.  It also instructs on how materials can be  created and integrated into curricula through the Open Publishing services.
