Experts @ Syracuse Profile Management: Importing Online Sources into Profiles

Automatic Feeds

Experts @ Syracuse includes the following feeds for automatic input up to the last 2 years:

  • DBLP Computer Science Bibliography
  • Scopus
  • Mendeley
  • PubMed
  • Web of Science
  • arXiv.org

To add any of these to your profile:

  • After logging into Experts, click Edit Profile
  • Click Personal tab on menu toolbar
  • Click Automated search
  • Click the button to ON of the feed you would like to add
  • You can check the box to have new entry notifications emailed to you.

For any items that are beyond the last two years or not included in the list of feeds, these could be entered manually.

 

Importing Online Sources

Experts@Syracuse includes an import from online source option with the following:

  • SSRN
  • DBLP Computer Science Bibliography
  • BioRxiv
  • MedRxiv
  • IEEE Xplore
  • EBSCO
  • Scopus
  • Mendeley
  • PubMed
  • Web of Science
  • CrossRef
  • WorldCat
  • arXiv

To check for items in these feeds:

  • Click the Personal drop down arrow
  • Under the category Research Output, click New
  • Select import from online source

This option allows for searching by title or author. As matches are found, there is an import button to click to add to your profile. This option is a one-time check. For those feeds that are also automatic in the box to the left, you can also elect to set those up to regularly track.
