Libraries’ Facilities and Security Office
The Libraries’ Facilities and Security Office provides support related to facilities services which includes:
- Monitoring and work with custodial.
- Monitoring building temperature/humidity.
- Working with the physical plant on maintenance issues.
For Bird Library, facilities’ staff:
- Keep facilities safe with floor monitors and DPS presence from 4pm – 7am Sunday – Thursday during the semester.
- Security guard (Sunday – Thursday 4pm to midnight)
- Security guard (Sunday – Thursday midnight – closing)
- Weekend Coverage is 4pm to closing time.
- Schedule and give permissions for doors, lights, elevators.
- Close University side at 8pm each night (safety).
- Close both Bird and Belfer and on call for Carnegie.
