WorldCat (for identifying resources of interest beyond those immediately accessible at SU)
This database, known as a union catalog, can be used to identify resources available at institutions other than the SU Libraries. WorldCat contains records for millions of books and other items held and cataloged by OCLC consortium member libraries, offering bibliographic and holdings information on materials of all vintages, in all formats (including electronic/digital), and in hundreds of different languages.
Material at other institutions can often be obtained for your use via the SU Libraries' Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. Use of standardized Library of Congress subject headings (such as those in the box at the right) in the "Advanced Search" option is a particularly effective way to search WorldCat.
We welcome suggestions for books, journals, videos, or other resources for our collection.
