Recording selections for your assignment are made by your instructor in collaboration with the Soundbeat editor/writer. The copyright status of the recordings dictates where you access the recording and how much of the recording you use.

Recording Details - Start with the SU Library Catalog

HNR 340 + HOM 300: Be sure to check in your class's Blackboard site for the link to "SUL Cat Record" next to each of your music selections! This connects you to the SU Libraries' catalog record for the recording. Once there, click on "detailed record" to see full recording details. For some recordings that aren't yet cataloged, search for recording details. Be sure to check the artist, title, record label, and recording number.

HOM 396: Visit the library catalog at and type in the title of your recording along with the artist. If there are too many search results, limit by content type on the left to "music recording." Once you click on the title of your recording, click on "detailed record" to see full details.
