EndNote Program Options

There are a two versions of EndNote available:

  • EndNote 21, 20. x9, and x8: is a paid desktop program of EndNote, which can be synced to EndNote Online.

  • EndNote Basic: is a free option, where users have access to only the free EndNote Online system but with limited storage. The main difference is that you will limited storage online and no desktop program, so you will have to be online to use this citation management tool. However, you do have access to the Cite While You Write Tool. To create a free EndNote Basic account, click here.

Citation Manager Accessibility

The Libraries aim to provide and recommend to our patrons accessible products whenever possible. Current citation management tools offer varying levels of support for disabled users, so we encourage you to try out each until you find the one that best meets both your research and access needs. If you have questions regarding accessibility of citation tools, need assistance addressing accessibility concerns with a citation tool, or have recommendations, please contact the accessibility librarian.

What is EndNote

undefined
