Campus Life

Center for International Services
The Center for International Services is dedicated to helping international students as they adjust to their time at Syracuse. They offer assistance with immigration, visas, and passports, as well as host a number of helpful seminars, conversation groups, and fun social activities.

There are many groups and offices on campus that help to serve the various needs and interests of our international student population, such as those listed below.

English Language Institute (ELI)
The ELI offers intensive English language courses for international students looking to improve their English language skills. Their programs are custom-designed for students at many different levels of English proficiency.
Disability Cultural Center
The Disability Cultural Center coordinates campuswide social, educational, and cultural activities on disability issues for students, faculty, staff, and community members with and without disabilities.
Hendricks Chapel
The Hendricks Chapel is an interfaith chapel that serves the spiritual traditions of the many different faiths on campus. They celebrate many types of religious holidays and host a variety of religious services and musical performances.
LGBT Resource Center
The LGBT Resource Center is a safe space supporting and advocating for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and straight-allied members of the Syracuse community.
Office of Learning Communities
The Office of Learning Communities coordinates campus "learning communities," which are campus experiences designed to engage students with similar interests or backgrounds. Some of these communities include international, multicultural, and language interest groups.
Office of Multicultural Affairs
The Office of Multicultural Affairs strives to support multicultural students in their academic and social development. They provide many opportunities for students from many different backgrounds and experiences to engage with each other.
Office of Student Activities
The Office of Student Activities supports the over 300 student organizations on campus. They host many social events throughout the year to help enrich students' lives outside the classroom.

Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS)
CLASS, located in on the Lower Level of Bird Library (room 014) offers personal and group tutoring, workshops, and academic integrity support.
Turnitin at the Library
Turnitin is a Blackboard-accessible option students can use to evaluate their writing assignments for any potential violations of academic dishonesty.
Writing Center
The Writing Center can assist students in developing their composition skills and improving their writing assignments.

Support Services

We understand that college life can be challenging. Syracuse also offers support for students who have any health needs, or just want to talk to someone.

Barnes Center at the Arch - Counseling Center
The Barnes Center at the Arch - Counseling Center is dedicated to providing confidential counseling, therapy, crisis consultation, and support to help students cope with the stressful demands of college life.
Barnes Center at the Arch - Health Care
Barnes Center at the Arch - Health Care offers health care and wellness services for students.
Sexual and Relationship Violence Response Team
The Sexual and Relationship Violence Response Team provides privileged and confidential support services, advocacy, and counseling to all Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF students who have concerns related to any form of sexual misconduct, including sexual assault, relationship violence, sexual harassment, stalking, and cyberbullying.
Syracuse University Ambulance
Syracuse University Ambulance is a student-run organization, trained to respond to students' medical emergencies during the regular academic year.
