Danny Facto Student Veteran Work-Study Award

Receiving the Danny Facto Student Veteran Work-Study Award means more to me than words can fully express. As a Marine, I learned the values of discipline, commitment, and service—principles that continue to guide me in everything I do. Bringing those values into higher education has been a way to keep that same sense of purpose alive, not just for myself but for the student veteran community I’m proud to represent. I never imagined I would attend college, let alone be recognized for my impact here at Syracuse University. This award reminds me how far I’ve come, and how the lessons from the Corps—leadership, resilience, and dedication—can continue to shape who I am beyond the uniform.
