The Web Gallery of Art is a virtual museum and searchable database of European fine arts, decorative arts and architecture (3rd-19th centuries), currently containing over 52.800 reproductions. Artist biographies, commentaries, guided tours, period music, catalogue, free postcard and mobile services are provided.
The Photothek's digital and electronic resources can be freely consulted online. They include the digitized negatives and positives in the Digital Photo Library, a searchable index yielding the accession date of each individual photograph, a collection of 19th and early 20th-century sales catalogues published by various European photographic studios, the Photothek's online exhibitions and its digitized collection of prints and engravings.
The V&A includes one of the premier collections of Renaissance art objects of the world, including decorative objects, costumes, instruments, and prints. The collection is searchable and includes high-resolution images and bibliographic information for most objects.
