Syracuse University corresponding authors are eligible to make their articles published in all SPIE journals open access without individually paying a fee upon publication.
Please review the following for instructions and restrictions:
- SU-affiliated researchers (faculty, students, or staff) must be listed as corresponding author
- This agreement covers all articles published in SPIE journals, but not proceedings
- Articles will be published under a Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 attribution license--meaning authors will retain their rights over the material
- Article eligibility will be based on date of submission and not the date of publication (anything submitted after January 2023 will be covered)
Instructions:
- During the submission process, you will be prompted with the following at the bottom of the "Open Access" portion:
- Select the first option ("One or more authors belong to an institution that has an open access publishing agreement with SPIE")
- Select Syracuse University from the dropdown menu
