Journal Impact
Journal citation measures are usually only meaningful when comparing within a subject area.
- Journal Citation Reports (JCR)
JCR from Thompson/ISI uses quantitative citation data to rank and compare journals by calculating Impact Factor, Immediacy Index, Total Cites, Total Articles, and Cited Half-Life of journal titles.
Journal Title Abbreviations
- CAplus Core Journal Coverage List A subset of 1,500 "core" journals from Chemical Abstract's comprehensive print resource, CASSI.
- CAS Document Detective Service (DDS) The DDS Title Search database contains serials currently received at Chemical Abstracts Service and nonserials whose publication date is within the past ten years. Searchable by keyword, ISSN, or CODEN.
- Web of Science Journal Title Abbreviations This browsable list contains all of the cited works, including title abbreviations, used in Web of Science.
- Science and Engineering Journal Abbreviations Kevin Lindstrom at the University of British Columbia maintains a good overall list of title abbreviations.
- JAbbr JAbbr is an online tool that helps decipher journal, serial, and conference proceedings title abbreviations, testing against holdings from the Cornell library catalog.
