    Creating Research Questions

    Once you have defined your topic, it is helpful to start thinking about related research questions. This will provide you direction as a researcher.

     

    Sample Research Questions

    Below are some sample research questions based on the general topic, time management:

    Research topic:
    U.S. college students and their experiences with time management in the last ten years

    Research Questions:

    • Do male college students have more trouble managing their time then female students?

       

    • How many college students maintain full-time employment while enrolled full time in school?

       

    • What activities do college students feel consume the most time outside of the classroom?
