English and Writing Resources for SUPA Instructors & Students: Accessing Library Resources

On this page

The information on this page will assist you and your students in using the SU Libraries' electronic resources.

Off-campus access to Electronic Resources

Note: You will need your SU I.D. number in order to access  research databases,  e-journals, and e-books remotely.

  • Visit and navigate the web site as usual.

When you click on a resource that requires authentication, you will be automatically prompted to authenticate as a valid user through a process called EZ Proxy.

When prompted, please enter the 10 digit SUID number (without spaces) as the NetID and enter your last name (all lowercase) as the password. SPECIAL NOTE: Your ID number may be only 9 digits long. If this is the case, add a zero to the end of it before you submit the information.

Once authenticated, you will be automatically transferred to the resource you selected.

  • Please note: If you having trouble authenticating, E.S. Bird Library Circulation at (315) 443-5727 to verify how your last name appears in our database.
